That's right! This book received a grant as an e-text available for free. I am not sure why isn't offering the free version, it is available for free on Apple's iBook store or check out howtosavejobs.org
This is a great book with useful suggestions for people at all levels of employment. How To Save Jobs contains useful information on making companies of any size stronger, better, and more competitive in the global economy. It is specifically focused on jobs in the Unitd States. Published with 2010 stats and timely information, the author has been on several national shows CNN, blogs, The New York Times etc.

This is a great book and an easy read. David has many insights into how the economy works and while you might think you would have the be the President of the USA to implement some of his recommendations, it's also true that understanding the underlying dynamics makes it far less likely that you'll be one of the people left behind in economic shifts.
David states some facts that are obvious in hindsight which you might not have thought of. For example, he dedicates a section to "what is a job?" which makes poignant observations about what a job is and what a job isn't. This is good stuff for anyone who likes to understand the why of things.
